Earlier this month, business leaders and entrepreneurs gathered at the stunning Ulster University Belfast campus for the highly anticipated Connect to Success programme launch. The event was a truly inspiring evening, full of energy and opportunity. Even the buzz I got, walking up to the university building, took me right back in time to starting at uni (many years ago now!) Social media didn’t even exist then, let alone be a viable career.
Meeting Joe Kennedy III
I had the privilege of meeting Joe Kennedy III, where I introduced him to Noodlehorse Media and shared my passion for growing businesses online. His enthusiasm for supporting others in the digital space was appreciated. He emphasised how Northern Ireland boasts many incredible female role models, and I couldn’t agree more. With leaders like Mary McKenna and Clare McGee from Awaken Hub in attendance, the room was buzzing with inspiration and possibility.
The Power of the Programme - Why we were there
A huge thank you to Cathy Gormley Heenan for her warm welcome and flawless hosting as we gathered to hear about the launch of the Connect to Success programme.
The real focus of the evening was the exciting opportunity this programme offers to transform women-led businesses. We were fortunate to hear from remarkable speakers who highlighted the immense impact it’s already had abroad.
Kim Sawyer’s stories about how Connect to Success has empowered women entrepreneurs in Portugal were especially inspiring. It’s thrilling to think that Northern Ireland’s women in business will soon have access to the same life-changing opportunities through this initiative.
