From Instagram to In-Hand: The Power of Promoting Your Business Online

PSA: I'm urging you to speak about the services or products you offer on social media. Otherwise people won’t know what they can buy from you. And we don't want that do we?

Last night, there was a knock on the door

I was presented with the most beautiful, handcrafted wooden tray (see picture). This gift was expertly made by Gary Kidson, a fantastic woodworker based in County Wicklow who I had the pleasure of meeting during my work with the Wicklow Craft Foundation earlier this year. In a twist of fate Gary’s parents actually live nearby and whilst visiting he was able to hand deliver my own version of a tray he had posted about on his Instagram stories. I saw it, I wanted it, I reached out, he made it. Simple as that.

Crafting Connections: The Impact of Social Media on Your Business Sales

Please don’t forget to actually speak about what you make/sell/do on social media. There are always new eyes on your profile. You’re in your head 100% of the time, they are not.

As well as attending my Wicklow workshops (pictured) Gary had signed up to one of my social media sprints this year too. It’s a service I offer of 60 minutes of my time to discuss ideas, techniques and strategy to make your online presence engaging and easier to manage.

So there’s one of my services listed (I love taking my own advice). I also offer social media audits, social media coverage of your next big event and finally I facilitate staff training of your team in organic social media.

Are you guilty of not talking about your offering enough?
