Donating Social Media Sprints for a great cause

A huge challenge for me is pending

This March, I’m thrilled to share that I’ll be participating in Battle Cancer Dublin alongside the incredible team from Cli’s Secret. This event brings together strength, determination, and a shared purpose to support two remarkable cancer charities, one of which is Marie Curie.

This cause is deeply personal to me, and I’m eager to contribute to the incredible work they do for people and families affected by cancer. Battle Cancer is a fitness fundraising event that brings people together to complete team-based workouts while raising money for cancer charities, there is a group of around 50 of us participating together and I am so excited.

To amplify this effort, I’ve come up with a fun, impactful way to combine my passion for social media with fundraising: a day of mini social media sprints!

Secure your mini sprint here

10th February 2025. Select a time from this date and secure your spot! All I ask is to just be a good sport and make sure you donate to Marie Curie via the link first.

What's a social media sprint?

I’m offering 30-minute mini social media strategy sessions in exchange for a minimum £40 donation to the fundraising link. It’s a win-win opportunity: you get expert social media insights, and together we contribute to a life-changing cause. Here’s what’s on offer:

  • Expert Advice: Tap into my 10+ years of experience in organic social media.
  • Tailored Insights: Whether you want tips for creating engaging Reels, writing scroll-stopping captions, or improving your overall strategy, I’ll customize the session to your needs.
  • Quick Wins: In just 30 minutes, I’ll share actionable advice to help you level up your online presence.

All you have to do is make your donation and book your time slot—it’s that simple! This is a mini-version of a service I provide to many business owners who need 60 minutes of focus on their social media strategy.

My personal challenge

I’ve set a bold personal challenge: to complete as many mini sprints as possible in one day. That’s right—I’ll be dedicating an entire day (10th February) to helping YOU while raising funds for Marie Curie. Whether I do 10, 15, or even more sessions, I’m ready to push myself to the limit for this cause, before I physically push myself to the limit at Battle Cancer.

It’s an exciting way for me to give back using the skills I’ve honed over the years while supporting an organisation that means so much to me.

I am definitely going to need some lemon and ginger tea and a Halls soother or two! There is going to be a LOT of chatting!

Why Marie Curie?

Marie Curie provides invaluable support to those living with terminal illnesses and their families, offering care, compassion, and dignity during some of life’s most challenging moments.

Their work is transformative, and every pound raised helps them continue to make a difference in countless lives. I’ve seen it first hand. They helped my family when my grandfather used their wonderful facility in Belfast during the final few months of his life. The warmth and care shown by all of the staff is a lasting memory I will always cherish.

This isn't my first time fundraising for Marie Curie

You can definitely tell I’m deep into middle age, taking on a challenge like Battle Cancer. Back in 2009, my fundraising efforts for Marie Curie were a bit different—I threw an event called the P Party in honor of my Papa, who was cared for by Marie Curie. The theme was all things “P,” and let me tell you, we went all out!

The drinks menu featured pineapple-ade, poitín, and peach schnapps. Snacks? Party rings, pretzels, and popcorn, of course. And the fancy dress? I went as a peacock, while others showed up as palm readers, pirates, pez dispensers—even a paddling pool made an appearance!

As much as I loved the chaos, I just can’t handle the hangovers anymore. So, when the unstoppable force that is Cli from Cli’s Secret approached me with this challenge, I thought, “Why not?” It’s a fresh way to give back and support Marie Curie without the need for a recovery day!

How you can help

Here’s how you can get involved:

  1. Make Your Donation: Visit the fundraising link and contribute a minimum of £40. The organiser name on the donation link is Fiona Stone, who is organising the fundraising on behalf of the 40+ Cli’s Secret team who are taking part in this challenge!
  2. Book Your Slot: Once your donation is confirmed, you can book your 30-minute mini sprint on Feb 10th.
  3. Spread the Word: Even if you can’t participate, share this opportunity with friends or colleagues who might benefit from a social media boost! If there is demand I may open up some more slots!

Thank you for your support, and I can’t wait to work with you during this exciting day of mini sprints. Let’s make every post, caption, and hashtag count – for a cause that truly matters. 💛
